Lampwork beads are created using a special procedure done by hand. The glass is wound around a metal rod held over an open flame which allows you to produce unique and original beads in a never-ending range of fabulous colors, shapes and designs.

The appeal and attraction of lampwork beads has to be in its infinite array of colors and patterns that are used to create them.  Appliqued flowers, polka dots, bumpies, swirls, and any pattern  imaginable in wild or sophisticated color combinations.  Beads with ribbons of gold sand, silver foil, wonderful bead mixes, twisted, round, cubes and cylinders, the shapes and applications are interesting and endless. The glass can be transparent, translucent or opaque with an assortment of finishes, including AB or lustre.

Because lampwork beads are crafted by hand, the size, color and design may vary slightly from bead to bead. The individuality of each bead is part of what makes them so special.
